Our javelina and hog bow hunts are “Do it Yourself" affairs.
We only provide hunts for groups of 8 or more hunters with a minimum of three days. We provide comfortable accommodations complete with A/C and heaters, sleeping quarters with beds, full kitchens with stoves, refrigerators, microwaves, outside grills and game cleaning facilities. Each ranch is fed year-round via a daily feed route or automatic corn feeders. We also feed several roads, senderos and well traveled areas of each ranch before your scheduled hunt to increase game activity. We conduct a maximum of 2 hunts per month at each ranch or on our larger ranches we rotate pastures to limit hunting pressure on the game animals.
Upon your group's arrival, we will provide
you with some paperwork to sign, recommend hunting areas,
orientate you with the ranch layout and give you a tour of the
ranch. Depending
on what game you wish to hunt first, we will recommend specific
areas for javelina or hogs.
Our hunts are mostly spot and stalk. Once you have been assigned a pasture, you can feed the roads or senderos to attract game out into the open, javelina and hogs can then be stalked on foot. Many of our hunters plan hunts around full moon weekends to take advantage of a bright moon, therefore making it possible to hunt hogs all night. (Night hunting for hogs is legal but by state law, javelina may only be hunted in the day time.)
Hunters provide their own corn for feeding
and baiting purposes. If you wish for us to have corn available for
sale at the ranch, please let us know in advance. The price of corn
is normally $9.00 per 50lb bag.
If you wish to have your hunt customized with guides, cooks, cleaning, etc, please contact me prior to your hunt.
No ATV’s are allowed, UTV’s are allowed.
